In May 2017 CenturyLink sold 57 datacenters to Cyxtera Technologies for $2.8 billion. The transaction created Cyxtera Technologies.

Although CenturyLink provides colocation service, many of these customer deployments choose to procure other services from CenturyLink. For example, network, managed services, cloud, etc.
