Silicon Valley consists of the San Francisco Bay Area (SFBA) which includes three (3) sub markets.
- South Bay - San Jose, Santa Clara
- San Francisco - San Francisco
- East Bay - Anything east of the Bay including, Oakland
The greatest concentration of datacenters are in the South Bay centered in Santa Clara and San Jose. Although the area has seismic risk many of the Silicon Valley tech companies choose to colocate near their headquarters.
Silicon Valley also enjoys good connectivity due to the number of Internet Exchange Points (IXPs) and Interconnection centric buildings. The following buildings are have the best connectivity (ordered by number of networks)
